“When in Paris, do as the French do,” muses Anaa Saber, the multi-hyphenate stylist, consultant, and host of the interview series Behind The Scene. Over the weekend, she had a quintessential Parisian day: croissants and coffee on a rainy day. Oh, and then a quick jaunt to the Balenciaga Fall 2024 show dressed in archival pieces from the brand and full glam. Just your average Sunday, right? Ahead, she shares everything she did that morning, plus her thoughts on the show.
7:00 AM: Went to bed… lol, oops, not the best decision.
8:25 AM: Alarm goes off, regret sinks in 🙅🏽♀️
8:30 AM: Glam is setting up and I’ve basically gotten one hour of sleep. Today is going to be a sh*t show, but at least I can just sit there while the job gets done.
9:03 AM: Croissants and coffee break… when in Paris, do as the French do.
10:10 AM: Makeup and hair completed. I wanted to go for a soft goth glam.
10:20 AM: The Balenciaga invite this year was pretty fire. Demna ordered individual pieces for each person on eBay. Mine was a sick vintage scarf.
10:20 AM: I wasn't expecting it, but I'm looking cute af in an archival piece from Fall '22—the iconic snow show.
10:30 AM: Let’s get this show on the roaddddd.
11:00 AM: The scene at the show: wall-to-ceiling LED screens. Cue AI-produced videos.
11:02 AM: Saw my friend Sophia Roe. We took a quick selfie commemorating a pre-Balenciaga-show slay.

Then we took selfies and talked about the best cookies in Paris, as girls dooooo! But for real, s/o Bonjour Jacob for the yummiest hazelnut cookie!
11:30 AM: The show started, the screens were giving euphoric vibes. No drugs involved.
11:40 AM: Styling notes, hats over the eyes. Hater blockerssssss in, everything else out.
