And, most importantly, mom of a certified girly girl.

As a DJ, mom of a two and half year old girl, and co-founder of Spread The Jelly, Amrit Tietz is always booked and busy in the most diverse of ways. When not looking effortlessly cool in a great outfit behind the DJ booth, she's making her way through her book stack, subtly hinting at holiday gifts to her husband, reading over her co-founded platform dedicated to the journey of motherhood, and helping her daughter discover her own personal style through printed bucket hats and enviable tulle skirts.

We got the low-down on what the Australian born and bred, New York-based creative multi-hyphenate is reading, browsing, and shopping in her spare time.

What Are You Reading?

"Night People" by Mark Ronson: "As a musician and DJ who has orbited a similar downtown NYC space over the last decade, there were so many touch-points in this book that hit home for me."

"Let Them" by Mel Robbins

"All The Cool Girls Get Fired" by Laura Brown & Kristine O'Neil

"A Woman Is A School" by Celine Samaan: "An incredible book by an incredibly talented human and mother. I have so much awe for the advocacy work Celine has done, it was really wonderful to learn more about her life and her family – and what led her to the path she is on today."

"Cleopatra and Frankenstein" by Coco Mellors: "I recently read Blue Sisters and enjoyed it so much so I have this on my list."

Spread The Jelly: "Maybe this is narcissistic but I’ve permanently got this tab open. My co-founder Lauren and I typically do the interviews but my editorial director, Anamaria, actually writes them up. So it’s always nice to read the final product and see how they turned out."

Charlotte Chesnais Gold Round Trip Bracelet: "I am hoping (ahem, my husband) someone sees this and gets inspired for a holiday gift! I have a Silver Cartier Santos (push present) and I think the mixing of the metals would be a cute combo."

Grateful Dead x Nike Sneakers: "I never really was a 'deadhead' until my husband started working with the band… I recently went to a show and felt so captivated by not just the music, but the camaraderie and legacy of the band and how much of a multigenerational experience it was (from teenagers to grandparents). I’ve got my countdown on till this sneaker launches (Oct 24) and hoping I can get a pair before they all get snapped up to StockX or a resale app."

Comme Si Shirt (in maraschino cherry): "A staple in my 'mom' wardrobe, I feel like I just keep purchasing these in different colors. You can’t go wrong with a classic shirt, it’s easy to dress up and down and I always feel polished in these even if I’m wearing them with sweatpants. Don’t sleep on the socks either!"

Thistles Sunglasses: "I already own a pair of these (Atlas in Black) but I’ve worn them so exclusively – I’ve decided to opt for another style. I really love this crystal brown colorway for an option that is a little lighter."

Mini Rodini Tulle Skirt: "If you think shopping is fun for yourself, just wait until you get to the kids' selection. My daughter has just started requesting more skirts and dresses and I have my eye on this one… I kind of wish they made them in my size."

Coterie First Wash: "I know this is kind of an unusual choice but, as someone who pretty much exclusively bathes with her child, it’s nice to have an elevated choice of body care that isn’t the CVS kind. It’s also a two-in one body wash and shampoo, which now that I’ve started using will struggle to stray from."

Ritual Magnesium+: "We just threw a Spread The Jelly trip (called Jellymoon) for new and expecting moms and we got everyone hooked on this sleepy girl mocktail before bed. It’s a powder that you add to water that’s formulated for sleep and muscle recovery and my sleep has never been better. I also don’t get that Melatonin morning haze anymore, which as a mom to a 2.5 year old is very welcomed."

What Are You Browsing?

The RealReal: "It pains me to admit that a day doesn’t go by without me opening up the TRR. My go searches are Dries, Simone Rocha, JPG, Vivienne Westwood and always... Chanel. Other circular fashion apps like Vestiaire, Poshmark and even ThredUp also have a pretty consistent appearance."

Substack: "I have really shifted over from Twitter to Substack as I much prefer long form. I prefer a narrative driven account vs the shopping ones (mostly because I’d love to cut down on my personal consumption) Some of my favorite accounts are Liana Satenstein’s Neverworns, Emily Sundberg’s Feed Me, Hunter Harris’s Hung Up, Melanie Masarin’s Nightshade and Carrie Maitoza’s Repressed."

Pinterest: "I’m constantly searching for editorial references and inspiration. We are creating, shooting and producing content daily at STJ, I also use boards as a way to organize my chaotic thoughts."

DJCity: "Terrible name but great for sourcing remixes and new music."
