We could all use a little extra TLC right now.

When our early-morning alarms went off this past Monday after some well-deserved holiday time, the screeching blare delivered the harsh reminder of reality. Couple that with the aftereffects of a week or two’s unregretted bodily mistreatment—staying up late, cocktails galore, caloric indulgences—it seems our minds and bodies could use a little extra TLC. Whether it’s a supplement, an online yoga class, or an enticing way to drink more water, here’s a rundown of the wellness pick-me-ups our staff is leaning into this January.

Jessica Teves, Head of Content

HigherDOSE Infrared Sauna Blanket V3

I just ordered this last week and I am PUMPED. I’ve always been a strong proponent of saunas in general, but given COVID restrictions, I haven’t been able to use one in months. I love the relaxing, almost euphoric feeling I get from a really good sweat session, so I’m excited to have this at home for all-day, easy access.

$499

Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C

Given it’s flu season and, well, everything else going on in the world, I’ve been doubling down on these vitamin C supplements. The taste is not the best, but I swear it’s the strongest and most active form on the market and really does help keep the sniffles at bay.

$43 $33

Joanna Czech Dry Massage Body Brush

I love to do a dry brush in the mornings, and this natural body brush from Joanna Czech is wonderful—it’s easily one of the most energizing treatments that helps to brighten the skin. It also helps flush toxins from the body, which I don’t know about you, but that is goal number one these days.

$39

Leya Kaufman, Head of Sales

Erbaviva Stretch Mark Trilogy Set

I’m starting the year right as I hit my third trimester, and while I love being pregnant, the stress on my body this time around is no joke. So I love taking the time to unwind every night to soothe my stretching skin and muscles. There’s also something about the hydrating, transportative rosemary and sandalwood essential oils in Erbaviva that release tension and evoke a spa-like zen. Right now there’s nothing I look forward to more.

$72

La Croix Sparkling Water

I always feel like an entirely different person when I’m drinking enough water and genuinely glow from the inside out. That said, I tend to rely on a few hydration hacks, and flavored sparkling water is my favorite one. Call it a cure for boredom, but these days I love just to switch up my whole afternoon with a La Croix on ice––while still reaping the benefits of H2O.

$20

Purely Elizabeth Blueberry Hemp Ancient Grain Granola

While I’d never forgo an indulgence right now, I’m staying cognizant of my snack choices to ensure that I’m getting enough nutrient-dense superfoods into my pregnancy diet. My latest obsession? Granola. It works on top of morning oatmeal, sprinkled into a mid-morning Greek yogurt, or in casual handfuls throughout the afternoon. Just don’t ask me to share.

Camille Freestone, Writer

Collina Strada Rhinestone Water Bottle

Between salty snacks, multi-course meals, and more than my fair share of cocktails, I found that I woke up most holiday mornings extremely dehydrated. So my mission this week has been to drink as much water as possible to get back on track. And why not have something pretty to look at while I do so?

$90

Williams Sonoma Chantal Vintage Tea Kettle

I could easily sit in front of my computer on a workday and drink coffee until the sun goes down, leaving myself with a bad case of the shakes and, again, super dehydrated. I’m attempting to lure myself into the realm of tea as a substitute for my hot drink of choice with this sweet kettle—we’ll see how well that works.

$50

Lululemon The Reversible Mat 5mm

Exercise is the thing I would say makes the biggest difference in my overall health, whether that be related to strength, focus, or even skin. With the prolific options for workouts available today, all you really need is a mat, and this one—a Christmas gift from my mother—will be heavily utilized, even in my tiny apartment.

$68

Rachel Pickus, Associate Creative Producer

Sky Ting TV

Before the pandemic, I was pregaming work with a near-daily yoga class at my favorite studio, Sky Ting. However, once in-person classes were out of the picture, I became a monthly subscriber to their online database. With countless classes to choose from, I’m excited to start the year off on a positive note and hopefully get back into my pre-pandemic routine.

$20

The Nue Co. Forest Lungs

It’s without question that 2020 caused enough stress to last a lifetime, which is why I’m looking to boost my mood with The Nue Co.’s new fragrance supplement. Inspired by the molecular compounds produced by trees, Forest Lungs relieves stress by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system. Pretty cool, huh?

$95

Peak + Valley Nourish My Brain Blend

Much to my disappointment, the 3:00 PM slump still hits hard when working from home. So, in an effort to keep my mind sharp and productivity levels high, I’ll be stirring a spoonful of this adaptogenic powder into my afternoon coffee.

$38

Hannah Baxter, Senior Beauty Editor

Gossamer Dawn

After my usual 1.5 cups of coffee in the morning, my mind starts to whir like a jumbo jet engine. Great for getting work done—not so good for my anxiety levels. CBD has become a regular part of my morning routine, and the best is Gossamer’s Dawn. It was formulated with Alex Capano, the world’s first cannabis scientist, so I’m confident that the full-spectrum blend of terpenes, hemp oil, and cannabinoids is working to level me out. I swear by a full dropper as soon as I finish my caffeine binge.

$65

Diptyque Set of 3 Candles Graphic Collection

I’m one of those people who constantly needs a candle burning. Maybe it reminds me of being outdoors around a bonfire with friends, or it’s the simple need for an inviting atmosphere within the walls of my Brooklyn apartment. Either way, I scooped up this limited-edition set and scattered them on my coffee table, shelves, and entryway table. It’s the little things, you know?

$120

Plantshed Monstera Ginny - Piccolo

Plants make people happy. This is a fact. And if you could see my living room, you’d know that I’ve taken that to heart in a big way. I relish the ritual of watering and misting my babies, making sure the apartment humidity is high enough, and generally caring for them like the living beings that they are (even if sometimes they want to drop leaves for no reason). A new year seems like the perfect time to pick up a new green friend.
