Small Businesses You Can Support Online Right Now

They’re only a click away.

Living
small businesses
Life as we know it has been moved indoors, and although we know its whats needed to flatten the curve, small businesses are struggling and need our support now more than ever. Thankfully, we live in a digital age where online shopping meets the guidelines for social distancing, so were highlighting some amazing small businesses across wellness, fashion, and home decor. Now is the perfect time to try that Pilates or yoga workout, re-decorate your home, or have an at-home spa day.

You can do your part locally as well, by shopping at small markets for groceries (produce, fresh pasta, seafood) rather than large grocery stores, and you can support your favorite restaurants by ordering delivery if theyre still operating or purchasing a gift card to use at a later date. Every little bit helps.

Wellness

F. Miller is a natural skin-care brand offering a minimalistic take on face, hair, and body essentials. This face oil was the first product they created and has 22 skin-nourishing active botanical ingredients. They’re also donating 10 percent of sales from their Face Oil to Food Banks Canada and Feeding America to do their part during this crisis.

Bella is a wellness and fitness expert based in Montreal and Miami. She’s well-known for her booty-focused workouts, so naturally, she created her own booty band. Her Instagram has plenty of at-home workouts using the band so you can follow along.

Province Apothecary takes a holistic approach to skin care and has amazing wellness products, like this roll-on oil to help you de-stress during this difficult time. Get one for yourself, a friend, a loved one, or all three.

This small, female-run business has a water-based lubricant that is 95 percent organic and might come in handy when quarantined at home with your partner.

Fashion

Spencer Badu is an incredible Toronto-based designer. These joggers are ideal for the current working-from-home situation, but can easily be dressed up once you can go back out on the town.

Staud is an L.A.-based brand that creates accessible fashion design with attention to detail. Their Moon bag is a staple and one of our favorite pieces to style year-round. They’re currently having a 25-percent-off sale to thank customers for their support, and 10 percent of sales will be donated to St. Vincent Meals on Wheels.

Pradegal creates minimalistic pieces that you can wear oh so many different ways. The Karly dress would be perfect for an indoor date night or a gift to yourself for warmer and better days.

Mirror Palais is an NYC-based brand where every piece is made to order and can be customized upon request. They have an abundance of cute crop tops, like this underwire polo.

All in supply is a small streetwear brand that has several sneakers that have recently caught our eye. Their tennis shoes would no doubt look good with a variety of post-quarantine outfits and are great for your daily stroll around the block.

Home Decor

Home by Be was founded by Brittany Elise, an interior designer who believes a personalized home space is essential for everyone’s well-being. That’s never been more true when home is the only place you can go. Amp up your breakfast in bed with their marble contemporary tray.

OK, we know this isn’t exactly decor, but these bottles will look stunning on your kitchen countertop. Brightland is sourced from a single estate in California, providing you with the best quality possible in olive oil. Its perfect for all the home-cooked meals you’re making these days.

Cinnamon Projects creates the most elegant incense burner we’ve ever seen. Pair it with one of their cleverly titled incense blends (7am, 4pm, 8pm, 12am), and your home will have never looked or smelled better.

Plasiq is a home-decor brand that brings a little greenery into your life, except it will never die and you don’t have to water it. The leaning slab is made to order in Toronto and is semi-translucent to allow natural light to pass through. Its the perfect home decor piece to brighten up your indoor life.
