The Most Fabulous Looks from the NYC Pride Parade

Love is love.

By: Hannah Baxter

Today was the 49th annual New York Gay Pride Parade, the largest nationwide, and as always it was a fabulous celebration of love, acceptance, and equal rights. Thousands of people turned out to watch as the city’s most fashionable members and allies of the LGBTQ community marched through Greenwich Village and up 5th Avenue. Billie Jean King, one of this year’s grand marshals, walked alongside transgender advocate Tyler Ford in a sea of fairy wings, glitter, rainbows, G-strings, and body paint. The exuberant atmosphere stood in direct defiance of the president’s refusal to acknowledge June as pride month for the second year in a row, and many marchers carried signs deriding him for his stance—a tiny blip on an otherwise joyous occasion. Check out our favorite outfits and images from the afternoon below, and enjoy the rest of pride month!
