Last night at the Brooklyn Museum, the fashion industry convened for the CFDA Awards, honoring the year’s most influential and innovative designers, as well as veteran professionals who have shaped the style world throughout decades-long careers. Among those recognized were Naomi Campbell, who took home the Fashion Icon Award; Edward Enninful, who was awarded the Media Award; Kim Kardashian, who was presented with the inaugural Influencer Award; and Supreme’s James Jebia, who was named Menswear Designer of the Year. Highlights included Issa Rae hosting, Oprah making a surprise appearance to honor Enninful, and a heartfelt salute to Ralph Lauren in which eleven designers—Vera Wang, Thom Browne, Jason Wu, and others—took to the stage to give him a Member’s Salute.
