Bella Hadid’s Facialist Flew to Shanghai to Give Her This Pre-VS-Show Treatment
Georgia Louise reveals the secret behind that signature Angel glow.
Like many of you, we woke up yesterday to a barrage of models’ backstage photos from the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, China. Everyone from veterans Karlie Kloss and Alessandra Ambrosio to sophomores Grace Elizabeth and Bella Hadid (although, notably, Gigi wasn’t in attendance) were set to walk the runway clad in little else besides lingerie and a pair of glittering wings. Since we all know how hard the angels worked to get to this point physically, it only makes sense that the same effort went into beauty maintenance.
At the request of Ms. Kloss, celebrity facialist Georgia Louise flew to Shanghai to deliver her new bespoke treatment—appropriately dubbed “the Angel facial”—to a few of the VS girls, including Bella, Alessandra, and Martha Hunt. “All the Angels I treated were so grateful and all such lovely girls!” says Louise about her whirlwind trip. “It was such a buzz and good energy in the hotel suite, and major excitement—I could feel their pulse. I certainly had an adrenaline rush every time someone knocked on my door.”
The facial begins with an oxygenating cleanse to brighten the face, followed by a Biologique Recherche P-50 exfoliation and a 30-minute sculpting massage to lift and add definition. “This facial is all about immediate results,” says Louise. “I had to get the girls glowing right before they hit the catwalk.” Next is a collagen mask and then customized products for each girl. “I used the full VIP02 line to restore stressed skin and deliver instant radiance [with] its oxygen-release technology. The funniest moment was getting Karlie Kloss to dunk her head in a bucket of ice with me, minutes before she left for the arena! We were both laughing so much!” If that’s what it takes to look like a Victoria’s Secret Angel, then sign us up!
