Lee Tilghman, the recipe developer and blogger behind the ridiculously popular blog and Instagram feed Lee From America, is one of those people who makes healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle really and truly fun. She is essentially a poster child for what a conscience around cooking and exercise can do for you: make you a glowing, energetic, and happier person. Honestly, though, have you seen her Instagram stories? The woman makes us smile just by raving about the deliciousness of her coconut fat balls or the fact that she only shampoos once a week—and this is coming from a bunch of cynics and skeptics for whom kale only comes pre-sliced and in a Sweetgreen bowl. So, as is our wont, we figured we’d go where the magic is—specifically, to Tilghman’s Los Angeles kitchen, where she does the majority of her work, aka her cooking.

Click through the slideshow to read Tilghman’s four golden rules for a spotless kitchen and why she doesn’t believe in guilty pleasure foods.
