Couture week in Paris is inarguably the most magical fashion week of them all—which is precisely why we were dying to get in on Vensette founder Lauren Remington Platt’s iPhone photo diary from it all. Once you’ve caught up on all of the incredible street style, and the dreamiest photos from the Viktor & Rolf show, click through Platt’s diary below (we won’t be held responsible for any sudden need to book the first flight out to France).

Remember that time Lauren Remington Platt helped us exhibit the prettiest, most easy-to-replicate wedding guest makeup there ever was? Get your refresher here (it’s a good look for just about everything else, too).

“No visit to Paris is complete without a delicious meal at my favorite restaurant, Caviar Kaspia. It’s the best place to meet friends before the evening shows and the owner, Ramon, always makes you feel at home.”

“Afternoon Paris light.”

“This hot pink Valentino bag was my go-to bag all week and was the perfect pop against the cold, dreary weather. I was very excited for the Dior show and to see what my friend Maria Grazia Chiuri, previously from Valentino, had created for her debut at Dior.”

“Ethereal at Dior.”

“Inside the enchanted garden at Dior.”

“The bespoke invitations of couture are one [of] my favorite parts of the week. The paper, colors and beautiful calligraphy that goes into each one is a work of art in itself. For seasons I have saved my invitations with the intention of one day making a giant collage showcasing them all.”

“Giambattista Valli always knows how to show the right amount of skin. His clothes feel young and playful while also paying homage to a more serious couture client.”

“At Armani, there was a brief Oscar moment when Nicole Kidman congratulated her fellow nominee Isabelle Huppert.”

“The private dinner following Armani’s show at Pavillon Ledoyen.”

“Opening look at Elie Saab felt very ‘Grace Kelly driving along the French Riviera,’ from my favorite movie, To Catch a Thief.”

“In addition to being a fan of his clothes, Giambattista is also a friend. He has one of the most interesting minds and I love the way he approaches life. Here we are backstage at the Valentino show waiting to say congratulations to Pierpaolo Piccioli.”

“Valentino congratulating Pierpaolo after the Valentino Couture show.”

“For me, it isn’t couture without first having my fitting at the Valentino showroom with my dear friend, Carlos Souza. We always have a ton of laughs and Carlos always makes everyone look beautiful.”
