5 Parties We’d Invite President Obama To

As far as presidents go, Barack Obama definitely holds the title as chillest...ever. When he’s not, y’know, running the country, he’s quite the adorable baby whisperer, a hilarious mic-dropper, and, apparently, a really great groomsman. At least that’s what we’ve gathered from photos of him at White House trip director Marvin Nicholson’s wedding.

Over the weekend, the commander-in-chief put on a suit and tie to stand by his personal aide, watching him say I do to Helen Pajcic (John Kerry was also there, officiating). Although there aren’t any snaps of Obama doing the Cha Cha Slide on the dance floor (bummer), we know, just from the past eight years, that he would make a fun party guest. So we’ve come up with a list of other celebrations we’d invite him to, should he ever accept the offer.

How fun would it be to have Barack at a large family get-together? Or have him bring Michelle to your birthday party? Sigh—Mr. President, consider this an open invitation.

A Family Party

Sorry, Aunt Mary. You can't talk about when I'm finally getting engaged/married/having a baby because the president is here. And he's entertaining all the tiny nieces and nephews, too.

A Birthday Bash

Pshh, you thought that Chuck E. Cheese bash you had as kid was cool? Pizza and ball pits hardly top having the commander-in-chief buy you a birthday drink.

 A Bridal Shower

If anyone has great advice to write on those little cards, it's the man who's married to Michelle.

A Work Happy Hour

All of a sudden our stressful jobs seem like a walk in the park.

A Sweet 16

It's like that MTV show, only more extreme. And we really do want to see the president do the Cha Cha Slide.
