Who isn’t wearing it?
Does anyone else feel like collaborations are no longer just two brands haphazardly throwing together ideas in hopes the design works, and in turn results in mutual gain? Not anymore.
Now, more than ever, collabs blow our minds. We probably shouldn’t have assumed anything different when the two parts of the latest brand-designer release consist of 1) Nike (NikeLab if we’re getting specific) and 2) Riccardo *effing* Tisci. Mind. Literally. Blown. Again. You might remember the first drop a few weeks back; monochromatic, emblazoned with swoosh and Tisci’s initials. The second, just out yesterday; a dark, moody kaleidoscopic collection of prints. This is the first time the two forces have joined for an apparel line, following the unbelievably successful Air Force 1 collection in 2014. The pieces are what you’d want to run a 5K in along the busiest route you can find—the more people that see you, the better—but realistically, you don’t want to shed a bead of sweat in these (in fear that it might = more washes = less Nike x Tisci wear-time). Our solution to both? Stock up. Fill those cart. Now!
NikeLab x Riccardo Tisci, $50—$235, nike.com.
