Sometimes we wonder what we even really did before the champagne emoji. Oh, that's right: we shamelessly begged for one. Now that it's here, we plan on using it with total abandon, all. damn. December. long. To celebrate that (and to have as an excuse to use it just a few more times), we present the King's Champagne Cocktail, from The King Cole Bar at the St. Regis New York (otherwise known as the birthplace of the Blood Mary—chic AF). Bottoms up.
— Ingredients —
1 oz. Carpano Antica sweet vermouth
1 bitters soaked sugar cube
4 oz. Chandon Brut Classic
— Method —
Soak a sugar cube in Angostura Bitters and drop into champagne flute. Add
vermouth. Top with chilled Chandon.
