Occasionally, in this somewhat odd job of searching through people’s closets, we come across someone who gets us and exactly what we’re about, personal style-wise, it’s eerie. The similarities, we mean. And the whole shoot turns into one big exclamation: SAME!
Our latest run in? Michelle Campbell, a New York-based jewelry designer (maybe you’ve seen her minimalist, graphic pieces at Club Monaco, Intermix and Bergdorfs?), who had us over to her palatial Tribeca apartment. It only took a few minutes before we started realizing…
"This was called the ‘Beyonce’ jacket. So I was sold. Team Bae.” Yes.
“My first fashion memory would be playing dress up.” Twinning.
“I LOVE CHANEL beyond words. I’m guessing it’s rather obvious.” Same.
“I have this deep need to consume a great deal of Mexican food.” All day, every day.
Guys, it was pretty fun. Then again, there were aspects of Campbell’s life that we can't quite claim to share. Like her model-esque beauty and long limbs (she used to be a model in L.A…. can’t claim to have done that either). Or the fantasy wedding she just had at a castle in Ireland (we mean, it’s happened in our dreams). Oh yeah, and her collection of J. Mendel gowns, CHANEL bags and Louboutins. But, like, totally #same.
