Scent application and wear is one of those things that seems simple, but is deceptively easy to screw up—like meditating everyday for 15 minutes, or limiting yourself to one glass of wine at work events. Like, how many times have you innocently walked past someone, only to be assaulted by a smell so overpowering it’s as though the perfume is being expelled from their very pores? Or what about when you hurriedly spray your go-to in the morning, yet the effect seems to have completely worn off by the time you’ve reached the office, leaving eau de coffee breath as your defining scent?

So we asked Poppy Delevingne, who (let’s be real) has never in her life smelled like a stale latte, and also, conveniently, happens to be the new brand ambassador for Jo Malone London, to train us on all things perfume. From her signature (Red Roses), to the scent she wore for her wedding and the unexpected places to spray, press play for your lesson.
