Sometimes we kind of hate to admit it, but as much as we’d love to be all Emmanuelle Alt, easy-breezy cool, never try, never even carry a purse (!), if there’s any time to really work your sartorial mojo, it’s fashion month. And okay, so maybe we’re all really there to get a good look at what’s to come (as in what’s coming down the runway), but we also all know that a lot of the fun is happening outside the doors of MILK studios or the Lincoln Centre. We mean, if there’s any time to whip your Moschino encased phone out of your Mansur Gavriel white backpack, while wearing Eugenia Kim cat ears, fashion week is it.
Over the summer (better known in these parts as sale season) and, well, pretty much since last fashion month in February, we’ve assembled a pretty extensive list of street style bait, from Fendi buggies and Les Petit Joueurs box clutches to MSGM’s orange coyote fur-collared coat (okay, so maybe it’s not quite cold enough for that one yet) and those Saint Laurent knee-high sparkle boots (bets on Susie Bubble to pull off those ones). Oh, and we can’t forget the massive trove of look-at-me beauty products we’ve been accumulating (our collection of Marc Jacobs lipsticks is getting just a tad ridiculous).
In the interest of editing, we gathered the very best together—because, we mean, as much as we’d love to ship boxes upon boxes from New York to London to Paris and back again, we kind of have to limit ourselves to just one suitcase (or two). So take one furry Botkier New York bag, a pair of perfectly pointy Céline flats (photog bait that’s comfortable too—see what we did there?), a Paula Mendoza cuff, Miu Miu cat eyes and the aforementioned pearl-encrusted cat ears (nails painted golden, bien sûr), and you can totally blame us if you don’t end up as part of a ‘Best of’ slideshow. Let the games begin.
