Musicians, Paris.

It’s not everyday that you’re asked to hang out with the girl band of the moment during their Paris Fashion Week Cinderella Moment—even for us. For us, the Haim sisters (pronounced HI-em, we asked) kind of epitomize that whole girl crush thing. So, you know, munching on fruit and macarons (when in Paris, right?) and hanging out with them at their hotel while they prettified for the Chloé show was like The Cov’s equivalent of getting ready for prom with our BFFs.

Can we just say, Alana, Danielle and Este are just about the nicest rock stars we’ve ever come across. (Okay, so maybe we haven’t met that many, but bear with us.) Forget handshakes, it was hugs all around when we arrived at their hotel room. Truthfully, it felt like we’d known them for years, especially when the conversation veered into familiar territory like green juice and boyfriends (our lips are sealed on that last topic). And, if you’ll allow to gush even further, these are seriously girls after our own hearts: they really, really love fashion. And the whole hair and makeup thing followed by playing dress up with Chloé’s entire spring collection was kind of like living our own makeover movie montage—although, let’s be real, these are the last people on the planet that require any kind of makeover.

You kind of get that the sisters are the ultimate in low maintenance SoCal cool (see the shots of them looking like the Girl Powered-out version of Pharrell’s latest bathrobe-focused album cover), but that’s not to say they don’t have a Cov-worthy handbag wardrobe to make even the most jaded among us swoon—hello, mini Saint Laurent Sac De Jour and Acne acetate clutch. Guys, we’ll just call it here and say, not even joking, when it came to the Haim girls, it was love at first sight. This is one family band we’d totally join.
