Kimberley Ntsimi

Student & Philanthropist. New York

"For the past year, Kimberley Ntsimi has been making a name for herself in the New York fashion and music scene. Coming from a family of African intellectuals, you may have seen Ntsimi with another fashion favorite (whom she considers her best friend and partner-in-crime), Peter Brant Jr. Born in Paris, but raised in Cameroon, (and at only 19!) Ntsimi has already lived in five different countries (Cameroon, France, Gabon, Central African Republic and Switzerland, to be exact). She also spent three years in the prestigious Le Rosey in Switzerland before moving to New York recently to study at NYU majoring in Chemical and Biological Engineering.

Ntsimi's style is the perfect embodiment of all those years of travelling: entirely one-of-a-kind and eclectic. Ntsimi tends to keep things minimal and pared-down during the day in Acne, and trades it out for Saint Laurent and one of her beloved Balmain leather jackets at night. She loves nothing more than a good suit styled with a towering pair of pumps - a tradition she's kept from years of formal dressing in private schools. As for her accessories? Ntsimi has a collector's approach, gravitating towards limited-edition items and mixing them with the classics, like her range of Hermès bags. Her accessories are her way of showing her fun side; from oversized sunglasses to oversized magician's hats.

During her free time, Ntsimi has also begun to assist fashion editor Peju Famojure of L'Officiel and LURVE Magazine; as well as working on special projects on her own. Ntsimi already has that entrepreneurial spirit, dreaming about opening her very own fashion and lifestyle concept store, creating an experience that brings together the worlds of food and fashion, which she would even like to bring to Africa." – As told to The Coveteur by Lyna V.
