Anya Ziourova, Elena Perminova, Miroslava Duma. New York.
There couldn't be a more picture perfect setting than The Plaza Hotel to compliment Ferragamo's majestic Fall/Winter 2012 collection alongside Russia's streetstyle royalty. To toast Ferragamo's Fashion’s Night Out affair, we spent the day getting our co-hosts for the evening pretty and primped for the soirée. And what better way to celebrate the success of Massimiliano Giornetti's Russian-inspired collection than with the women who wear it better than the rest of us? Miroslava Duma, Anya Ziourova and Elena Perminova—none of which need any introduction! From the hair and makeup to a full-on photoshoot (Jake was in heaven!), the girls flaunted their Ferragamo get-ups like true veterans—but not without snapping a sea of photos for their personal Instagram accounts. (You have to follow them; they’re obsessed!) Naturally the topic turned to their head-turning ways and we had to ask the burning question: What’s the secret to being shot by a streetstyle photog? “They look for prints, some crazy shoes and some chic, huge necklaces.” Duma told us. “I packed all of that!” We chatted with the girls about their FNO gig, their guilty pleasures (Ziourova had a major craving for Ladurée macaroons), their love for social media and, of course, their favourite pieces from the collection (it was unanimously the Fabergé egg purse) - be sure to pre-order all of the goods here! Before we knew it our car whisked us all away to Ferragamo’s flagship store on 5th Ave. for cocktails, caviar, champagne…and vodka, obviously. To that, we say “Cheers!” or as they say in Russia, “Na zdorovie!”
