7 New Eyeshadow Palettes You Need for Fall

From glittery neutrals to glamorous mattes.

By: Hannah Baxter

Fashion month is officially in full swing, which means it’s the perfect time to look to the runways for some makeup inspiration. There’s been no shortage of dramatic eye looks, from Collina Strada (with individual neon lashes) to Brandon Maxwell (with a glittery, smoky eye), which have caused us to all but sprint to our nearest beauty supply store to copy them for ourselves. Happily, there are plenty of new shadow palettes to test from our favorite brands, with an array of shimmering, glittery, and matte finishes in dozens of dreamy colors. New season, new look, right? Right! Check out our seven favorites below.

Nars Queen of the Night Eyeshadow Palette, $59

If metallic shadows are your thing, get ready for this new 12-shade palette from Nars. The micronized-powder formula is extra intense when applied wet, resulting in a dreamy high-shine finish. Until 9/20, you can only shop for it via the brand’s Instagram.

HipDot Elle Palette, $30

This vegan-formula palette features some of our favorite bronze and peachy shades for fall, plus plenty of glitter options in blue, plum, and rose. Plus, the price for 15 shadows can’t be beat.

Pat McGrath Mothership VI, $125

Mother has done it again with her sixth eyeshadow palette. As always, each of the ten shades are richly pigmented and incredibly long-lasting. Our favorite of the bunch is Blitz Violet Orchid, a shimmery purple color that makes brown and hazel eyes pop.

KKW Beauty Matte Cocoa Palette, $45

Fans of a matte or nude look, your dream palette has arrived. Leave it to Kim K to create some of the most flattering shades for fall. The Desert shade, a soft ginger brown, is about to be our new go-to until winter.

Surratt Prismatique Eyes Collection, $58

OK, technically these new shadows from Surratt are sold individually, but the five colors are all a part of the Prismatique Eyes collection. While we recommend snagging each and every one of them, the Khaki Green shade made our jaws drop from the moment we saw it.

Urban Decay NAKED Honey Eyeshadow Palette, $49

You can’t call yourself a makeup guru unless you have an Urban Decay palette in your collection. The rich golden tones throughout this 12-shade release are universally flattering and work for both day and night. Just swipe on one of the glitter options over your daytime nude look, and you’re good to go.

Tarte Fall Feels Eye & Cheek Palette, $25

It’s all in the name—this palette will be a permanent fixture in our fall makeup routine. From an orange shimmery option to a deep royal blue, there’s no reason you can’t create a runway-inspired look all on your own this season.
