10 Indie Swimwear Brands We’re Loving in 2019

Stock up in time for summer.

By: Noah Lehava

It may not be rooftop-pool weather yet where we’re from, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have summer wardrobes on the brain. And one of our favorite categories happens to be swimwear. We’ll just wait for the weather to catch up to our digital shopping baskets. The designs we’re often drawn to come from the small indie brands like the ones below. Click through to see our favorites right now.

My BFF Swim

Designer Mimi Tohmé takes the meaning of luxury swimwear to another level, incorporating fine jewelry (think strings of 14k gold and pearls) into her bikinis and one-pieces. The final products: masterpieces.

Leslie Amon

Side ruffles and gingham in all the right places are what make Leslie Amon’s collection an absolute must-have.

Bromelia

Tropical prints and a good fit are Brazilian swimwear brand Bromelia’s MO.

Anemone Swim

Inspired by Kate Moss in the ’90s, Anemone Swim is the perfect mix of nostalgia and cool. Our favorite in the collection? A black one-piece hand-embroidered with daisies.

La Gotta Swimwear

You’ll be able to spot a La Gotta bather upon first sight. Watercolor prints and strategically placed straps are standouts.

Reina Olga

If you didn’t audibly scream when you landed on this slide, are you human? Because Reina Olga’s animal prints (and print blocking) are so good it hurts.

Suboo

Australians know good beach attire. Proof is in the Suboo.

Dos Gardenias

Neoprene and lycra in an array of clean and simple silhouettes, a true test in minimalism. And it works.

NU Swim

New York-based NU Swim makes delectable two- and one-piece size-inclusive sustainable bathing suits.

Louisa Ballou

Not for the faint of heart, Louisa Ballou’s kaleidoscopic pieces have caught the attention of everyone from Sita Abellan to Jorja Smith.
