All Aboard the CHANEL Express
Where you casually eat croissants and watch CHANEL’s Resort 2020 show.
We come to Paris for our two favorite F’s—food and fashion—so you can only imagine our delight when we started our morning in the City of Lights with both. CHANEL—known as much for its designs as it is for hosting over-the-top fashion shows—ushered guests into Le Riviera, a luxe café attached to a Beaux Arts-inspired Parisian train station inside the Grand Palais. Once seated, we were treated to a decadent breakfast of pastries, cheeses, breads, fruits, coffee, teas, and more. Afterwards we departed the train and headed into the station.
While the temperatures in Paris were chilly, newly appointed Artistic Director Virginie Viard transported us to the French Riviera with looks fit for warmer climates, leisurely lunches, and lively late nights. In addition to house signatures such as tweed, suiting, and perfect dresses, we also saw travel flasks, fresh new shoe shapes, and pieces in denim and khaki. As the show came to a close, we left the Grand Palais well fed and full of anticipation for warmer climates.
