You might spot Mick Jagger feeding peacocks before breakfast or run into the Rajasthani royal family in the palm court made of the same marble as the Taj Mahal. You’ll sit poolside, and someone will bring you a basket full of fresh fruit and champagne without having to ask. You’ll eat 24k gold risotto at Risala or an eight-course dinner in the palace’s garden under a symphony of fireworks and a jaw-to-floor performance by local musicians and dancers. You’ll ~think~ of wanting an afternoon sweet treat, and magically it appears in your suite. This is the level of luxury you’ll get at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of the world’s largest family residences (and currently the home of the Jodhpur royal family). So is it a surprise that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have chosen it as their wedding venue?
We stayed there earlier this year and snapped a few pics of the recently crowned “world’s best hotel.”Click through below to take a peek.
