We like to stock up on shimmery cream shadows for one reason: You look totally done with almost zero effort. That said, when you get in a pro makeup artist like Ashley Rebecca and put her in front of a model like Anna Avila (whom you might recognize from the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Brazil or the Swim Week runways), you get next-level party-worthy makeup in no time. Think disco-inferno glam faster than you can say “I just need to dance tonight!” Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to follow along and recreate this smoldering green shimmery eye with just a few products. Ashley shared her step-by-step with us below.

LAYER THAT BASE

Cream shadows look dewy and lucious, but they can start to creep into creases throughout the day and wear away. A neutral-colored primer across your entire lid is the best way to start.

URBAN DECAY EYESHADOW PRIMER POTION ORIGINAL

This might be the most classic, go-to eyeshadow primer on the market—even for makeup artists who don’t really “do primer.”

COVER THE LIDS IN SPARKLE

Apply the creamy liquid shadow straight from the doe-foot wand from the inner corner of the eye across the lid to the outer corner. Use a flat brush like MAC Cosmetics 239 Synthetic Shader Brush to smooth it out, then pack on as many layers as you want. Don’t forget to add to the bottom lash line for next-level impact.

STILA SHIMMER & GLOW LIQUID EYESHADOW IN LA DOUCE

This beloved makeup brand recently launched this sparkling liquid eye color in eight shades. We are in love with every single one, but especially this universally flattering olive green.

SMOKE OUT SOME BLACK LINER

While a pretty mossy or olive green could come off as a daytime color, a smudgy black liner really anchors the eye look and makes it strictly nighttime. And super sexy. Apply a creamy black eye pencil to your lash line, and use a small, dense flat eyeliner brush like NARS #45 Smudge Brush to blend it out in the upper and lower lids. Blend more until you get the intensity that best screams Studio 54 to you.

GIORGIO ARMANI EYES TO KILL WATERPROOF EYELINER PENCIL IN #1

Think of this liner like a hybrid between a liquid and a traditional pencil. It’s super smooth, gives you some “playtime” to smudge it out, and then it *lasts.*
