Our Favorite Street Style Looks from New York Fashion Week
Paige Campbell Linden
New York Fashion Week is finally over, and while editors and influencers are on their way to London for the next round of shows, the street style looks stateside did not disappoint. The weather was admittedly all over the place, with day one peaking in the 90s, making sheer dresses and bike shorts a necessity. But by the end of the week, oversized blazers, leather trousers, and wildly colored faux fur had taken their place, proving that maximalist dressing is here to stay. '90s-inspired hair barrettes were plentiful on many a chin-skimming bob, and thanks to the relentless rain, see-through umbrellas became the accessory we never knew we needed.

As predicted, slime green remained the color of the moment, popping up on knit turtlenecks, wide-leg trousers, and silky slip dresses, but we're calling vibrant orange a close second. More than one snakeskin trench coat caught our eye, usually paired with a Fendi saddle bag or beaded mini tote. We can also expect to see plenty of cowboy boots, socks with Tevas, and structured mules this fall, with dad sneakers remaining a closet staple for the foreseeable future. All in all, it was a vibrant and pleasantly optimistic start to fashion month, and we can't wait to see what London, Milan, and Paris hold in store.
