We’d expect nothing less from one of Hollywood’s leading stylists. Los Angeles.

The last time we spoke with stylist-to-the-stars, author, and television personality Brad Goreski was back in 2012, well before he had joined the team at E! Live from the Red Carpet or even married his now-husband Gary Janetti (which happened just last week!). Fast-forward five years later, and we finally caught up with Lea Michele’s and Rashida Jones’ trusted stylist at his gorgeous home in Beverly Hills. We were elated to find that he has made good use of his increased square-footage—we’re talking about an in-closet bathtub and a wall of Christian Louboutin loafers—while still keeping his signature dapper style intact.

“I’ve been in love with fashion since I was a kid,” Goreski explained as his three dogs, Theo, Alice, and Penelope, settled into our laps on his sunny back patio. “I was always putting looks together. I was back home in Canada at the beginning of October, and a friend of mine from public school sent a photo of me in geometry class. We were making little triangles of paper, [and] I taped mine to my ears as statement earrings [laughs].” This kind of fashion fearlessness still permeates both his own personal style—he is partial to statement-making bow ties, velvet blazers, and fringed leather jackets—and the glamorous red carpet looks for which his clients are known. Still, with all of his professional success, Goreski has remained refreshingly humble, even nostalgic, from his days of fetching coffee and returning samples. “I feel like I’ve had an incredibly successful and wonderful career so far, but I have so much more I want to do,” he iterates as he prepares to run out to another appointment. “So much more.”

Click through to read why Goreski thinks men are finally going glam for the red carpet, his oh my god moment with Jessica Alba, and how he found a Balenciaga motorcycle jacket for 70 percent off.
