The Wardrobe Staple Our Editors Are Wearing to Fashion Week
Mixing prints and embracing maximalism is easier than you think. In collaboration with G-Star Raw.

Fashion week is like the Super Bowl of street style dressing—everyone tunes in to see the performance, even if you’re not as concerned with the main event. Case in point: You don’t need to be swiping through the shows on a daily basis to see a flurry of street style stars translating everything on the runways their way. That’s exactly why we found ourselves wish-listing G-Star's Elwood X25 Toile de Jouy Print and Wabash Stripe prints—their latest in their new line of 25 pairs inspired by traditional patterns and animal camouflage, all designed by none other than Pharrell Williams. Given that this season is all about maximalist dressing—meaning the more prints, the merrier—what collection could be better suited to our own street style aspirations (what, like you don’t have them)?
Of course, we’re also partial to the classic G-Star 3D Denim series, since the jeans pair seamlessly with pretty much everything else in our wardrobe (namely, our favorite ~fancy~ accessories). Seriously—there’s nothing chicer or more effortlessly cool than touting an all-over-print Louis Vuitton backpack with lightly aged denim and a pair of sneakers. Conveniently, Coveteur’s staffers were all the more eager to enter the fashion week street style races dressed in Pharrell’s signature statement jeans. Here are the looks you might just spot Coveteur’s production designer, DaMonica Boone, and senior marketing manager, Jordan Guskind, in all season long.
THE SHOWS
Our favorite thing about the “anything goes” attitude that permeates fashion week? You can wear a pair of vintage-feel, light-wash denim without feeling completely dressed down, and a pair of dark pinstripe trousers without feeling like you’re at a job interview. When paired with a classic bag, tailored jacket, and practical (not boring!) footwear, the G-Star Mid Waist Boyfriend and Wabash Stripe strike that perfect balance between un-fussy and polished.
DaMonica’s Essentials:
5620 G-Star Elwood 3D Mid Waist Boyfriend Jeans
ultra-versatile suede moto jacket
Louis Vuitton backpack (fits everything while looking incredibly chic)
G-Star Wyver slim t-shirt
limited-edition sneakers in a cool, graphic colorway
statement sunglasses
Jordan’s Essentials:
G-Star Elwood X25 Wabash Stripe print jeans
a timeless quilted Chanel bag
G-Star 3301 Straight Cropped jkt Wmn (yes, it’s back and better than ever)
heeled boots (because there’s no such thing as “too tall”)
G-Star Xula Cropped Sweater L/S Wmn
a vintage watch (for a bit of bling)
dark sunglasses, always
THE AFTER-PARTIES
After a full day (or week) running around, there’s nothing better than grabbing drinks with industry friends and heading to a reliably fun late-night spot. Full disclosure: It’s also the perfect opportunity to show off the kind of head-to-toe ensemble we’ve been planning in our heads since May (what, just us?). Classic black skinny jeans are always in constant rotation in our wardrobe, while a silky printed pair provides a slightly more daring option that still has a ladylike vibe—which is why we’ve quickly added the G-Star Elwood X25 Toile de Jouy print and custom mid-skinnies to our wardrobes. Throw on a crop top or a statement coat, and we’re ready for the after-parties (and the after-afters too).
