The Accessories Trends We’re Investing In This Fall

Think jewel tones, satin, crystals, and velvet.

Some people get a rush by finding the perfect pasta in Italy, or by scouring flea markets and antiques shows, looking for hidden gems. For me, there’s nothing I love more than the rush of a fall fashion refresh. While I was never prepared for anything back in high school, as an adult, I can honestly say this is one task I start well in advance and would like to think I pass with flying colors. After many hours spent online, I’ve found the perfect accessories needed to give my wardrobe the boost it needs for fall. Here are my picks.

My wardrobe gets significantly less colorful once the weather turns crisp. A pop of color from a bag like this J.W. Pierce is the perfect way to spice things up. It also helps that this bag has already reached cult status.

Peanut butter and jelly, Bert and Ernie, hotel rooms and bathrobes—some things were just meant to go together. This collaboration between Manolo Blahnik and Vetements is no exception. With the kitten heel, pointed toe, and bright color, they could not be more perfect for this season.

This season, there’s nothing I love more than a mule. After scouring high and low, I have found these beauties from No.21 and there is no turning back. It is also my first time adding leopard into my wardrobe, and I don’t think I will look back.

Fall for us means social media overload, running and posting between shows. In order to get those insta-stories just right, having both hands free is a necessity. This chic hip sac from Gucci is the perfect fashion week accessory for the perfect snap.

Some days I just can’t bring myself to style an entire outfit, and that is when I revert to something more classic, like trousers and a turtleneck. The best way to chic up an outfit like this is to add an artsy statement earring, like these Ellery ones.

Lately Prada has been putting out piece after piece that I honestly dream about. Since I have been bit by the velvet bug, these shoes scratch both itches.

While I love a logo as much as the next person, there is something to be said for understated elegance as well. The pale color and hardware of this bag are the perfect combo for understated fall luxury.

Another great way to change your look while wearing clothes you wore the season before is with a pair of on-trend and standout glasses. I love these by Cutler & Gross.

While fall can feel more masculine with coats and sweaters, adding a bit of femininity with the help of an embellished shoe can help extend some of my girly vibes that come out in the summer.

Every fall, and I mean EVERY, I embark on the quest for the perfect bootie. For this season, these Laurence Dacade ones hit the mark with their velvet, color, and quilting.
