Our latest find: Christian Louboutin’s Mexicaba collection, which was made in collaboration with female artisans in the Taller Maya foundation in Mexico, and every single bag is different. Taller Maya is an organization that employs primarily female artisans in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, helping to preserve their craft skills and providing employment. These totes use happy handwoven panels, Mayan embroidery, as well as bone and wooden beads. We said it before, but it bears mentioning again—each bag is totally unique.
Aside from supporting the artisans by commissioning this collection, a portion of each sale will go back to Taller Maya. You can pick one up now here and in select Louboutin stores.
