Inside The Epicenter Of Fashion Fantasy
“She’s not afraid to experiment. She’s very open. She’s the woman of today. Actually, she’s the woman of a couple of days ago.”
Molly SJ Lowe

The Giambattista Valli Couture show last night was pure floral fantasy. The Italian designer showcased a wonderful spectrum of incredible textures from silk embroidered with ostrich feathers to multi-frilled skirts in soft tulles. There was a dedication to craft and no shortage of three-dimensional silhouettes with complex embroideries, and accordion pleats done with origami-like intricacies to create dreamy bulbous ball gowns.

Valli is always seducing us with new ideas and captivating narratives. This season, the Valli girl continued to be nomadic and has traveled to Rajasthan. Influences from her travels can be seen in her jewelry and in the embellished detailing of the collection.

Valli’s collections are always full of romance and each season, expectations are high as he continues to find new interpretations of heightened femininity. The Italian designer’s palette is always delicate and this season was a plethora of ivory, pinks and yellows with a pop of tangerine.
