Snarkitecture on Designing Kith's Brooklyn Location

Theres no denying were sneaker fans. On any given day, chances are high that a majority of the office is laced up in sneakers, plus, were currently in the middle of our own Sneaker Week where were breaking down everything related to the style for you (and giving you access to a few sneakerheads closets, obviously). We also wanted to provide you guys with a first account of what exactly it takes to design a sneaker store—Kith, to be exact, aka the holy mecca of sneaker stores. Just as Ronnie Fieg is the genius of the sneaker world, the two men who design the Kith stores, Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of Snarkitecture, are the geniuses of the architecture industry. Their projects include everything from Calvin Klein windows to Public School’s SS15 runway, to a custom basketball installation set in a parking garage. Now currently working on their sixth Kith store, you can tell these two are masters at bright, white, marble, and, well, pretty much everything else beautiful and minimalist. We headed to Kith’s Brooklyn location to take in *all* the details and chat with Daniel and Alex about exactly how this particular Kith location came to be.
