The Best Designer Sneakers in Coveteur History

The sky is blue, grass is green, and sneakers are officially a fashion mainstay. This much we know. They’ve been as crucial to any modern uniform as, say, denim, or a really great leather jacket for a minute now, and it wasn’t long after FlyKnits and Stan Smiths became de rigeur that even the fanciest, hallowed of design labels and fashion houses followed suit.

In the seasons since, we’ve noticed a significant shift in the closets of our Coveteurs; as the tides have steadily turned from being stacked with towering stilettos to overrun (pun intended!) with kicks, both Adidas and otherwise. Most commonly, that otherwise will include the likes of tweed CHANEL, sculptural McQueen, sparkly Dior (you know, the ones that look like bedazzled water shoes?), and the embroidered Gucci depicted here. And you know what? This might be one splurge we can rightfully, truthfully justify—aside from being a newly minted essential, a few hundred bucks pales in comparison to the market price of some of the sneaks we’ll be seeing this week (ahem, the infamous Eminem Jordans with the $30,000 price tag).
