Inside the Louis Vuitton Spring 2017 Show
The best fashion month finale we could possibly ask for.
It makes us so very, very happy that we can wrap up the frenetic month that is the fashion cycle with Louis Vuitton—thank you, fashion gods, for blessing us with this finale. Because even though the show leaves us on a particular sartorial high that only Nicolas Ghesquière can deliver, we always know, the morning of the show, that the goods will unquestionably be delivered.
This morning, on Place Vendôme (a change from the usual location at Fondation Louis Vuitton), Ghesquière brought it. This was the Louis Vuitton power woman that we’ve grown to love through and through. Longtime brand ambassadors Jennifer Connelly, Alicia Vikander and Michelle Williams, sitting front row, are most definitely going to kill it in the sparkly dresses and super-slim suits on the red carpet, but frankly, spring’s collection was spot-on for any woman looking for a little urban armor (and who doesn’t need a bit of that from time to time?).
In the meantime, we’re starting a collection for the accessories. The wish list is long, but priorities include the brand new, monogrammed Petite Malle phone cases and a particularly kicky pair of green snakeskin pointy-toed ankle boots. Again, a thank you to the fashion gods for blessing us with this fashion month finale.
