Inside Ramya Giangola's Eclectic L.A. Oasis
Mike Rosenthal

There are certain people we meet that are absolutely unforgettable. Ramya Giangola being one of them, due to a) her charming personality and b) her larger-than-life collection of Céline. Naturally, as soon as we heard that she was renting some new digs in L.A., we knew it was time to pay Gogoluxe’s founder and partner a second visit, and are we ever happy that she was game to see us again, too.

Having seen photos of her family’s Hamptons house, and having already stepped foot inside her New York one, too, we truthfully weren’t at all surprised by how jaw-droppingly beautiful this new spot she’s calling home for the next year is. Overlooking the Griffith Observatory, it has a living area so open and welcoming, we wanted to grab a blanket and curl up on the couch. And our guess is that Ramya (being the hospitable and accommodating person that she is), would not have been opposed to the idea. Especially since by the time we left, we had the names of a few of her favorite art dealers safely stored in our phone.

Next to the warm colors of this home, the dreamy pool in the backyard, and all of the insane art hanging on the walls, the most impressive thing is that Ramya and her husband, Giancarlo, had not stepped foot inside the home *once* before deciding to move on in. I guess you could say that they are a couple who knows what they’re doing—made even more evident by the fact that they packed both their Hampton and New York homes into this one place and everything fit just perfectly. We definitely wouldn’t have guessed that they had just moved in, given how homey the place was—Ramya seems to be a natural fit with West Coast living, already having her go-to spots for plants and furniture.

With perfect furniture, a closet big enough to sleep in, and only one house rule (which is simple enough: take off your shoes) you can see why we had a hard time leaving this place. Ramya, if you’re reading this, know that we’re happy to come over for some rosé or a play date with your daughter, Chiara, any day.
