If you've spent enough time analyzing the twin totems of anyone with closely-watched personal style (Instagram and street style, if the point somehow hasn't been driven into your brain yet), you know that when it comes to the territory of London-based editors, there are certain qualities that come to mind. You'll see what we mean if you stalk the closets of Alexander Fury, Susie Lau, or Caroline Issa: they're relentlessly dedicated to executing very specific, stand-out looks, with the help of a menagerie of up-and-coming designers and archive gems.

If that's the case, consider Serena Hood, Executive Fashion Director at British Vogue, to be at the exact intersection of New Yorker and Londoner. We won't lie: her glossy highlights and immaculate blow-out immediately gives away the time spent honing her skills at the magazine's U.S. outpost. But her closet? With the exception of a few classic CHANEL staples, it was pure London. Style-defining stand-outs range from mod little mini dresses from Gucci and Miu Miu; busily printed A-line skirts from Prada, Marc Jacobs and Christopher Kane; countless chunky knits from J.W. Anderson. See what we mean?

And as we raided her wardrobe, Hood filled us in on everything from her beyond idyllic countryside wedding (an actual air show with WWII plane was involved) to her (aforementioned) obsession with skirts and anything printed to how she made the move from New York and ended up in London to begin with. Let's just say she makes the jump across the pond seem veeeeeeery tempting.
