How to Get the "2-Day-Old" Hair from Misha Nonoo’s Insta-Show
Renée Rodenkirchen

Let’s be honest for a sec: it takes a lot of work to look, well, effortless. You know, that just rolled out of bed, swiped on some brow gel and put on whatever clothes were on my floor look is more likely the woke up two hours early to shower, blow-dry, curl, straighten, apply indiscernible makeup and pick out a perfectly paired ensemble look. But if anyone’s got it down, it’s Misha Nonoo and the girl gang of models she photographed for her Insta-show (that’s right, the designer eschewed the runway to present her Spring 2016 collection for the way of the future—or of right now—debuting it on Instagram today instead). Of course, Nonoo had mane magician Orlando Pita and TRESemmé on hand to create the perfect slept-in hair.

“I love an easy, undone hair style that looks a little lived in, and celebrates their hair’s natural texture,” said Nonoo. And by “natural texture” she means Pita gets to go all “effortless” on us. “I still like to try and do something to sneak in a little edge so these subtle straight pieces, or the blunt fringe; give your look some individuality and personality which is perfect for the Misha Nonoo girl.” And there’s the honesty. Here’s how to get that perfectly imperfect look—we’re not gonna lie to you: it doesn’t involve just rolling out of bed.
