13 At-Home (& Kardashian-Inspired) Beauty Treatments

So you’ve resigned yourself to the fact that your Sunday nights will forever and always be dedicated to Keeping Up With The Kardashians (seriously, though: this season is never ending). Let’s all join hands in solidarity here—you are not alone.

Kim’s ugly cry. Khloe’s cracks. Kanye’s cameos. The Kristmas Kard. The fact that each of the above alliterations were unintentional.

Now before you start justifying your addiction with such musings as “It really makes you appreciate your family” or “It’s like a rejuvenating hour of shut-eye for my brain” or “Guys, ‘Jam’ is actually a really good song,” we thought we’d help channel the obsession into something a little more constructive.

We asked the KUWTK glam squad for their Kardashian-kurated Sunday night rituals—think DIY Dash beauty treatments, workouts to get that Kim K derrière* and a much more productive way to spend the commercial breaks than Googling whether that Kris quip has been GIF’d yet whilst eating dry cookie mix out of the bag.

Lip Exfoliator

“I love to mix a bit of honey with sugar and massage it onto the lips for a couple of minutes. This exfoliates the lips beautifully and really plumps them up. Just remove it with a damp wash cloth and you'll have smooth and gorgeous lips. I do this on Kim sometimes before I apply lipstick or gloss. All three of the Kardashian sisters love the scent of honey—their Kardashian Beauty lip glosses are honey scented.”

Complexion Illuminator

“To improve a dull complexion, I love using the Kardashian Beauty K24 Face Priming Mask. It leaves skin with a subtle illuminating sheen and reflects light away from imperfections. I always use this on the sisters before applying makeup—it helps to achieve the look of youthful, radiant skin.”

Cleaning Brushes

“I like to mix a few drops of tea tree oil in with shampoo to wash my makeup brushes. The tea tree oil is antimicrobial and also smells great when you use just a small amount.”

Commercial Break Plank

“As soon as the commercial break starts, drop down onto your elbows and toes and hold plank position for as long as possible. If you have to fall to your knees for a brief moment to regain composure, get right back up and hold again. The plank is so effective in working every muscle and is a very productive way to spend three and a half minutes!”

Wall Sit

“As you're watching the show, sit up against the wall, bend your knees 90 degrees and hold for a full minute. After you rest, try again for another minute. Do at least five sits and you’ll start to feel the burn in your thigh and glutes. Targeting your large muscle groups burn the most calories!”

Tabata Style Push-Ups

“Do push-ups as fast as you can without sacrificing form for 30 seconds, then rest for a full 30 seconds. For three minutes, do interval push-up sets by cranking out as many as you can for 30 seconds, followed by 30 seconds of rest. Do this three 3 times. Drop down to your knees if you can't do them on your toes—it’s still an effective move!"

Quick Moisture Infusion

La Mer Hydrating Facial Mask is great for Sundays when you want to relax and pamper yourself and the results leave your skin quenched on contact, hydrated, nourished and conditioned.”

DIY Manicure

“The new 3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS nail colors have just been released and they are amazing!”

Lip Prep

“Apply a medium amount of Colorescience Lip Exfoliator to lips and remove lip color with a tissue. Leave it on longer when the lips need an exfoliating treatment. Apply Colorescience Lip Serum very sparingly, three times a day to plump, heal, hydrate and define lips. It may be used alone, over or under other lip products. For best results, apply Colorescience Lip Polish to dry lips.”

Deep Kondition

“Apply Rene Furterer Paris Karité Intense Nourishing Oil to your dry and unwashed scalp and hair, section by section. Massage into the scalp and leave on for five to ten minutes before shampooing. It leaves your hair restored and ready for the long week!”

Eye-bright

“The Tatcha Deep Hydration Revitalizing Eye Mask is another option for a quick beauty treatment that will give you great results. Concentrating on the eyes can never be a bad thing, especially when you have a long week ahead.”

"In a world where time is a precious commodity, we often forget the importance of taking total care of the daily damage our hair endures. Little did you know, Keeping up with the Kardashians can also mean keeping up with healthy hair. In the time that it takes an episode to air, you can take those desolate locks from dull to glam doll with a few of my favorite products and at-home recipes."
Start with Shampoo & Conditioner.

"This is where you’re stripping away the build-up while replenishing and nourishing what’s lacking. I obsess over Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy for this very reason. It works wonders because it’s just as focused on the healthiness of your scalp as it is your ends. This mindset of starting at the source and working its way down creates the complete package for conscious care."

"While money can buy all the deep conditioners in the world, sometimes a little at home DIY is just what the hair doctor ordered. Below, I’ve listed a holistic how-to for a quick and easy deep conditioning hair mask.

What you’ll need.

•Towel (for mess control)

•Bowl

•Organic Coconut Oil

•Organic Raw Honey

Depending on the thickness of your hair, in a bowl mix equal parts of coconut oil and raw honey. Coconut oil goes solid if the temperature is cold, so if needed microwave the mixture for a few seconds.

1. Wrap a towel around your neck to avoid oil stains on you or any surrounding fabrics; a.k.a. your couch.

2. Take vertical sections, apply the mixture generously, and comb through.

3. Once the sections are saturated pull hair into a bun and secure with an elastic band.

4. Now you’ve got 40 minutes of wait time which allows you to kick back and flip on the latest episode of KUWTK.

5. Once you’ve had your Kardashian klan fix it’s time to rinse. Shower with your normal shampoo and conditioning routine and allow hair to air dry; revealing its new found deeply nourished, full of shine state!"
