Ploy Chava

Blogger; ELLE Thailand Style and Social Editor. Paris

After three-and-a-half years (time flies, you guys) of dealing in digital, it goes without saying that we're well versed in the challenges that the 24-hour (and then some) news-and-life-cycle of social media, and the World Wide Web as a whole, presents. You know, like when you wake up in a jetlagged daze only to have an entire day worth of EST-time zone Instagrams to catch up on? It's a constant struggle, you guys. That said, our day-to-day, uh, difficulties pale in comparison to those of blogger and ELLE Thailand Social and Style Editor, Ploy Chava. Did we mention that the girl is responsible for the management of not one, not two, but eight (count them!) Instagram accounts? We know, our filter-choosing finger is exhausted just thinking about it.

We first met Chava during Paris Fashion Week, just before the Dries Van Noten show, at her hotel-home-away-from-home for the week. After welcoming us into her suite, we watched bewildered as Chava drew goodie after goodie out of her suitcase: mustard-yellow, satin Manolo Blahniks, a plaid cropped turtleneck from Céline, dangling OTT Dolce & Gabbana earrings, a graffiti'd CHANEL backpack. Turns out that Chava has a serious thing for Miu Miu, too: we spied everything from Miuccia's latest-and-greatest cat lady coat and glittery to bejeweled pumps among Chava's killer travel wardrobe (she also swore up and down she can't "live without" the label, to which we say: we feel you).

After making our way through Chava's collection of whozits and whatzits galore (allow us to reiterate: a little neon Valentino here, some Bambi-covered Givenchy there, with velvet CHANEL boy bags and a furry Fendi buggy thrown in for good measure), Chava caught us up on her career to date. She filled us in on her ascent from her first time at London Fashion Week, cleaning the runway between shows (yes, you're reading that correctly) to working as a personal shopper at a Topshop in Thailand and eventually working her way up to the big E: ELLE Magazine. After all, there's nothing we love more than a Christian Louboutin-filled Cinderella story, right?
